Darlene R. Taylor is a Washington, DC-based multidisciplinary artist. Her research and creative works explore gender, race, place, and memory to claim a more complete history of Black life in a visual archive of mixed media silhouettes and collage. Taylor's visual art and fiction assembles narrative portraits of people too often marginalized in history. Her visual art is in museums and private collections, and her writing appears in journals and anthologies. Find more of her work at darlenertaylor.com.
