  • Hannah M. Matzecki

    EDITOR-IN-CHIEF and POETRY EDITOR

    Hannah M. Matzecki (she/her) is a mother and writer. She studied comparative literature and creative writing at the University of California, Davis before earning her degree in Studio Art from UC Santa Cruz. In addition to working as an educator with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Hannah has conducted programs with the Skirball Cultural Center, the Watts Jazz Festival, and the Los Angeles Public Library. Her poetry can be found in journals such as Denver Quarterly, Gulf Steam Magazine, and Sinking City, among others.

    Aside from raising two gloriously strong-willed children, Hannah spends her time walking, baking bread, and reading about the history of the Soviet Union (especially the Gorbachev/ Yeltsin years). A third generation Angeleno, she lives in Los Angeles with her family and two demanding cats.

  • Kasey Butcher Santana

    NONFICTION EDITOR

    Kasey Butcher Santana (she/her) is co-owner of Sol Homestead, a small alpaca farm where she and her husband also raise chickens, bees, and their daughter. When not chasing hens or hauling hay, she spends her days writing, hiking, reading scary books, and volunteering with Citizens' Climate Lobby and the Environmental Voter Project.

    Kasey earned a Ph.D. in American literature with research that focused on girlhood narratives and cultural citizenship in long-twentieth-century literature. She has also worked as an English teacher and a jail librarian. Recently, her writing has appeared in The Ocotillo Review, *82 Review, Heimat Review, Geez Magazine, Canary, The Hopper, and Farmer-ish. You can follow her on Instagram @solhomestead.

  • Brent Stewart

    ART EDITOR

    Brent Stewart (he/him) is a freelance artist and graphic designer who works out of a studio in the forests of the Pacific Northwest. Brent studied illustration and fine art painting at ArtCenter College of Design in his native Southern California before seeking out the quiet of Washington. Currently focusing on long term goals in animation and production, his work has shown up on stage, in music videos, comedy acts, and in the occasional tattoo.

    In his spare time Brent designs boardgames and enjoys day trips to nearby state parks.

  • Quinn Broussard

    ASSOCIATE NONFICTION EDITOR

    Quinn Broussard (she/her) is a queer and trans writer originally from the Philadelphia area. She studied philosophy and is currently teaching English in Spain. Her fiction has been an unpublished finalist for The Florida Review Editor's Prize in Fiction.

  • Ilika Tripathi

    ASSOCIATE POETRY EDITOR

    Ilika Tripathi (sher/her) hails from Lucknow, India, and is a poet by passion. Her academic journey took her to Mount Holyoke College, where she delved into Economics, Computer Science, and Anthropology. Now residing in Boston, she balances her professional life between the financial services sector during the day and an NGO by night, where she dedicates herself to supporting women of color in healing from trauma and abuse.

    During her leisure moments, she is an avid reader, with a particular interest in historical non-fiction and poetry, exploring any titles she can find. Her literary contributions have been recognized and featured in publications such as The Autoethnographer and Flora Fiction.

  • Emily Adams-Aucoin

    Emily Adams-Aucoin (she/her) is a writer whose poetry has been published in Electric Literature’s “The Commuter,” Meridian, and Colorado Review, among other publications. Emily currently lives in South Louisiana, and you can find her on social media @emilyapoetry.

  • Liam Strong

    ASSOCIATE POETRY EDITOR

    When they aren’t searching for rare skramz cassettes, Liam Strong (they/them) often wonders how to next queer classical philosophy and linguistics in new poems and prose. Previously nominated for both Pushcart and Best of the Net awards, they are a queer neurodivergent cripple punk writer who has earned their B.A. in writing from University of Wisconsin-Superior. They have served in the past as Chapbook Coordinator for Michigan Writers Cooperative Press (MWCP) and former editor of NMC Magazine.

    You can find Liam’s poetry and essays in Impossible Archetype, Ghost Proposal, and Emerald City, among several others. Their first chapbook, Everyone’s Left the Hometown Show, was published by Bottlecap Press (2023). They are most likely gardening somewhere in Northern Michigan, or maybe just watching early 2000s girlypop comedies with their cat, Dandy. If you ever see Liam in the wild, don’t ask them about losing their shoes during Sorority Noise’s last Michigan show. They’ll never shut up.
