Tiziano Summo

Fusing natural and man-made, rural and urban, traditional and contemporary, Tiziano Summo’s work blurs the boundaries of time and alludes to the circle of life. Each piece playfully invites us to reflect on our relationship with death: some are mournful, some peaceful, others confrontational.

Today’s Western cultures shy away from death, hoping to make it invisible, taboo, and wrong. Tiziano’s ‘Memento Mori’ aims instead to rehabilitate death as a guiding light, reminding us of life’s impermanence - because to truly embrace life, you must first face death.
