Julyan Davis is a British-American painter who has made the American South his subject since 1988. His art focuses on documenting both the vanishing landscape and the lost histories and folklore of the region. His touring shows include collaborations with musicians, poets, actors and historians. Davis’s first novel A History of Saints was a semi-finalist for the 2022 Thurber Prize.
